Commercial Concrete Contractors Burnaby

Commercial concrete parking lot was installed for our client based out on in Burnaby.
At Burnaby Concrete Contractors, we take pride in the commercial work we do. Our professionals have years of experience with every application of concrete. If you can’t find your specific service below, give us a call and we’ll help you out.

Small Building Demolition
Every building is built to different standards and designed for a specific lifespan. Whether that be 30 years or 100 years, once that lifespan is up, it’s no longer safe to live or work in. Not only is it unsafe for its occupants, it may also be a hazard to surrounding buildings. Separate from that, there are many reasons for needing demolition on a building. You may be using that space for larger buildings, rezoning, etc. and each of these may require a different demolition process to set it up for its next life. Demolition can be dangerous and requires many steps including surveying the site, removing hazardous materials, and other safety measures. Our experts take every safety precaution to ensure a safe demolition.

Barrier Curb Installation
Concrete barrier curbs are used to keep a road safe, as dividers, and as parking barriers. There are specific codes to follow when it comes to barrier curbs, so whether it’s in a commercial area or within a strata, you’ll want the professionals to come in for the installation.

Concrete Curbing
This is curbing used to clearly line garden areas, lawns, and other out of bounds areas. It’s commonly used in landscaping to border flower beds, driveways, and walkways in both residential and public spaces.

Concrete Foundations
There are 3 types of concrete foundations:
T-shaped - this is a traditional method used in areas where the ground freezes and needs support. As its name suggests, it’s laid in the form of a T!
Slab-on-grade - this method is not used where the ground freezes, and consists of one single slab of concrete poured at once that lies on a bed of gravel.
Frost protected - this method works with a heated structure only, and includes two sheets of insulation to prevent freezing.

Loading docks
While similar looking, loading docks must be much stronger than the average driveway to support massive vehicles and loads. We consider all of the factors including the existing framework, positioning, number of docks needed, approach angles, and more.

Pathway Paving
If you own a strata and you’re being counted on to maintain the numerous sidewalks and pathways, you can count on us. Sidewalks and pathways in and around commercial buildings, apartment complexes, and municipalities all need to be uniform and in great shape. We take great care in keeping your designated areas consistent and easy to maintain, enhancing your business image and value. Our crew are highly trained professionals who will do our best to stay out of your way and make quick work so you and your tenants can get back to normal life.

Sports Courts
At Burnaby Concrete we offer sport courts of all kinds - tennis courts, basketball courts, pickleball courts, and anything else you may want. Sports courts can improve the overall health of the people living nearby, and bring a stronger sense of community, offering a place to gather. On top of that, it’s a high-value investment which can increase the value of your space. A well-made sports court truly enhances your game. Conversely, if your sport court is poorly built or maintained, you and any players will take notice right away. Weeds, cracks, and divots all can happen without proper care over time, and not only are they unattractive, they can be dangerous too. We can build your court from scratch, or simply repair it if it can be fixed.

Parking Lots
Most people drive cars everywhere, so your commercial building, residential strata, or entertainment complex definitely needs a high quality parking lot. While it may just look like a huge slab of concrete on any type of ground you have available, there’s a lot more that goes into paving a parking lot. They need to be well-designed so they can handle the weight of vehicles you expect to be patronizing your lot. Most parking lots in the past have been made of asphalt, due to its quick application and curing time as well as its inexpensiveness. However in recent years concrete has been making its comeback as the more popular material for parking lots due to its durability and low maintenance needs. Concrete may be more expensive initially, but it usually lasts longer and does not need regular maintenance such as seal coating, potentially making it more economical in the long run. Whatever your situation, wecan help you decide how you want your parking lot built, with the expert advice you expect from our professionals.

Pavement Recycling
We at Burnaby Concrete have a commitment to you, our clients, and our environment. That’s why we use the most advanced and sustainable technology available, and use recycled materials whenever possible. We offer pavement recycling whenever we need to do demolition or remove and replace any areas you are getting redone. There are several methods, but in general pavement recycling is the practice in which existing broken down pavement is combined again to create reusable material that is strong enough for our standards. We believe this is the solution to our ongoing infrastructure needs as we keep up with the ever-changing world.

If your project isn’t on the list, not to worry. Give us a call today so we can give you the expert solutions and advice to get started!
